The phone, called ‘Ulephone Rugged One Xsnap 7 Pro’, will be the world’s first smartphone whose camera can be removed from the phone and used like an action camera.
According to the teaser and press release released by the company, this phone may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress starting on Monday, March 2 in Barcelona. Although many smartphones with powerful cameras have been launched in the market so far, this is the first time that the camera can be used independently by separating it from the phone.
New concept of detachable camera
The biggest feature of the ‘Ulephone Rugged One Xsnap 7 Pro’ is its magnetic detachable camera. It is said that this camera will be a module about the size of a fingernail and can be easily detached from the phone. The company has not yet clarified whether this is the main camera or an auxiliary sensor.
When detached from the phone, it can be used like a small action camera. There will also be a feature to use the smartphone screen as a remote monitor while taking photos or videos. According to the information, this camera will have a small battery, which can provide a backup of about 30 minutes.
Display and design
The phone will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. Since it will support 120 Hz refresh rate, the scrolling, gaming and video watching experience is expected to be even smoother and more attractive.
This smartphone will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 5G processor. This chipset is known for its strong performance in the mid-range and premium segments. It is expected that users will get a good experience in gaming, multitasking and high-quality video recording.
The phone will have a 50-megapixel main camera and a 64-megapixel night vision camera, which will help in taking photos in low light.
